SIMPLE 5 INGREDIENT TACO CASSEROLE

This easy taco casserole is sure to be crowd favorite. You will love this cheesy, simple weeknight dish.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 16 oz pasta shells
  • 15.5 oz salsa
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
  • 2 (1oz) packets taco seasoning
  • 1 ½ cups water or milk
  • Optional: Add 1/2 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package, drain, and set aside.
  2. Brown meat. When done, drain any fat.
  3. In a large bowl, combine cooked pasta and meat.
  4. Sprinkle the seasoning packet over the meat and pasta then pour water over top. Next, add salsa. Mix well.
  5. Pour into a 9x13 lightly greased casserole dish, then top with shredded cheese.
  6. Bake in the oven at 400˚ for about 18-22 minutes or until cheese is melted and sauce is bubbly.
  7. Optional- Serve with any taco-style toppings.
