This easy taco casserole is sure to be crowd favorite. You will love this cheesy, simple weeknight dish.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 16 oz pasta shells
- 15.5 oz salsa
- ½ cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
- 2 (1oz) packets taco seasoning
- 1 ½ cups water or milk
- Optional: Add 1/2 cup sour cream
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package, drain, and set aside.
- Brown meat. When done, drain any fat.
- In a large bowl, combine cooked pasta and meat.
- Sprinkle the seasoning packet over the meat and pasta then pour water over top. Next, add salsa. Mix well.
- Pour into a 9x13 lightly greased casserole dish, then top with shredded cheese.
- Bake in the oven at 400˚ for about 18-22 minutes or until cheese is melted and sauce is bubbly.
- Optional- Serve with any taco-style toppings.
