SIMPLE CHEESY CAULIFLOWER
I LoVe my mom's homemade cheesy cauliflower. Honestly, I can eat the entire pot all by myself! It's so YuMmY!
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 medium size head of cauliflower, washed and cut into pieces, OR one 2 lb. bag fresh cut cauliflower
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese (cubed) OR 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Place the cauliflower florets into a medium sized pot and add 1/1/2 cups water.
- Bring water to a boil over high heat. Boil at a simmer for 7- 9 minutes until the cauliflower is fork tender. Drain cauliflower. Set aside.
- In a medium size saucepan over medium heat, add the butter and melt.
- Whisk in the flour, salt, pepper.
- Slowly whisk in the milk.
- Add in the cheese and mix until cheese is melted.
- Pour cheese sauce over cauliflower and stir gently.
- Enjoy!
