Funfetti Little Debbie Christmas Tree Poke Cake

FUNFETTI Little Debbie CHRISTMAS TREE POKE CAKE
This cake just makes me happy! It's so easy to make and just so yummy and festive. This cake says, "Merry Christmas!"
Ingredients
- 1 box (15.25 oz) Pillsbury Funfetti Holiday Cake Mix - Water, vegetable oil and egg called for on cake mix box
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 box (3 oz) Cherry Jello
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 tub (16 oz) Cool Whip
- Green and red sanding sugar
- 1 box (5 count) Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes
Instructions
- Heat oven to 350°. Make and bake cake as directed on box for a 9x13-inch pan, using water, oil and egg. Cool in pan on cooling rack for 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, pour boiling water on gelatin; stir until gelatin is dissolved. Add 1 cup cold water. Stir well. Poke cake every 1/4 inch with handle of wooden spoon or tines of fork. The closer the holes are together, the more moist the cake will be. Carefully pour cherry gelatin evenly over the top of cake. Cool completely, about an hour. To speed up the process you can put the cake in the refrigerator or freezer.
- Spoon and spread Cool Whip over top of the cake. Sprinkle red and green sanding sugar over the entire cake. Place Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes on top of cake.
- Store loosely covered in refrigerator.
