I have always loved the movie "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas". When I saw these cookies, I just had to share them with you. I used my no-chill sugar cookie recipe as a base. I hope you love them as much as I do. Day 7 of Twelve Days of Christmas might be my favorite yet. We will just have to see! The sugar cookie recipe can be found in my Volume 1 cookbook.

  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • Green gel food coloring
  • Red Hard Candy Jolly Ranchers

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, cream together the sugar and butter until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla. Add flour and baking powder; mix well.
  2. Add green food coloring to your desired color.
  3. Roll out your dough on a lightly floured surface. Cut a larger heart out first and then a smaller heart in the middle. Move to ungreased cookie sheet. Place a jolly rancher in the middle of the heart hole.
