The Best Dump Bread
My mom’s recipe for the easiest bread is in our Volume 3 cookbook. Before she left town, she made some for our family. It’s super good!
THE BEST DUMP BREAD
Ingredients
- 4 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1 tablespoon yeast
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°.
- Grease 2 (1-quart) pans.
- In a large bowl, mix all ingredients together.
- Make a hole in the middle and add 2 cups of luke warm water.
- Stir until all of the dry ingredients are mixed in, then cover with a damp cloth and let rise until double in size. It should take two hours.
- Divide the dough into two equal parts. Place in the pans and let rise. It should take about one hour.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from oven, let cool in the pans for five minutes and then turn the bread out to let it cool.
- Serve warm warm with butter.
