🍁 I still have some pecans from Tanner's Pecans & Candies so I decided to make Mama Sue’s Pecan Pastries. For those with her cookbook, the recipe is found on Page 46. They are so easy and so good! 🍁

Aunt Mamie's Pecan Pastries

This recipe is one of Mama Sue's favorite treats. It was made for her often by her precious Aunt Mamie.

Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • 1 3-ounce package cream cheese
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 2/3 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

To prepare the pastry shell
  1. Soften and mix butter and cream cheese. Add flour and mix until smooth. Place in refrigerator for about 30 minutes. Make 24 small balls. Press into ungreased mini muffin tins. Place back in the refrigerator while preparing the filling.
Filling
  1. Combine the brown sugar with butter, vanilla and egg. Mix and add pecans. Fill each shell. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
