Grandma Ambs’ Chocolate Fudge

There is just something about fudge that brings back childhood memories. You can make it with or without nuts, but I used pecans from Tanner’s Pecans.

GRANDMA AMBS' CHOCOLATE FUDGE

GRANDMA AMBS' CHOCOLATE FUDGE

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup marshmallow cream
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 2 cups dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans, optional
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Line an 8x8 pan with aluminum foil or parchment paper. Set aside.
  2. In a large saucepan over medium heat combine the first five ingredients. Bring to a boil, and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. Remove from heat and pour in chocolate chips. Stir until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth. Stir in nuts and vanilla.
  4. Pour into prepared pan. Chill in the refrigerator for about 2 hours or until firm. Cut into squares.
  5. Store in an air-tight container.
