ASHLEY'S OOEY GOOEY CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
Our daughter Ashley has perfected these chocolate chip cookies. They are soft, buttery and bursting with melty chocolate chips, these cookies are the ultimate comfort treat. These cookies are simply irresistible.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup butter-flavored Crisco
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/4 cups packed all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 (12 oz) bag Nestle semi sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, Crisco, brown sugar, white sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, mix the flour, salt, and baking soda. Stir until evenly combined.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop tablespoon-sized scoops of dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake for 9 1/2 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden. Avoid overbaking for a soft, gooey center.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
