This Easy Veggie Halloween Skeleton is a fun and festive way to serve up fresh veggies! It's a delightfully eerie and healthy snack platter that's sure to impress kids and adults. Serve it up and let the dipping begin- bone appetite!
Ingredients
- 16 oz sour cream
- 1 packet Hidden Valley ranch dip mix
- Romaine lettuce leaves (for hair)
- 2 olive slices (for eyes)
- Celery sticks (for shoulder blades and legs)
- 10 cucumber slices (for spine)
- 1 red bell pepper, seeded and sliced (for ribs and legs)
- Baby carrots (for arms and legs)
- Cauliflower florets (for hands and knee joints)
- Fresh mushroom slices (for hips)
- Broccoli florets (for feet)
Instructions
- Prepare the Dip: In a small bowl, mix the sour cream with the ranch dip mix. This bowl will serve as the "head" of the skeleton. Place two olive slices on top of the dip for the eyes.
- Arrange the Skeleton: Start with the head at the top of the platter.
- Hair: Arrange romaine lettuce around the dip bowl.
- Shoulder Blades: Place the celery sticks just below the head.
- Spine: Line up the cucumber slices vertically under the shoulder blades.
- Ribs: Fan out red bell pepper. slices on each side of the spine.
- Arms: Use baby carrots extending from the shoulder blades. Place cauliflower florets at the ends for hands.
- Hips: Arrange mushroom slices at the bottom of the spine.
- Legs: Use combination of celery, baby carrots, and bell pepper slices for each leg, extending from the hips.
- Knee Joints: Place cauliflower floret at each knee.
- Feet: Add broccoli florets at the end of each leg.
- Serve this spooky skeleton with extra veggies and enjoy dipping!
