Ingredients

  • 2 (21 oz) cans cherry pie filling
  • 1 (13.25 oz) box yellow cake mix
  • 2 sticks butter, cut into pats

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°. Lightly spray a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Spread the cherry pie filling evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the cherry pie filling. Do not mix.
  4. Arrange the butter pats evenly over the surface of the cake mix, covering as much as possible.
  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving.
  7. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra treat!
